The Buccaneers clearly saw something nobody else did in Nadame Tucker, taking him 53 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The McNeil-Warren pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Kenyon Sadiq in No. 18, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board had Anthony Hill Jr. higher than the 46th pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Steal is underselling it; Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at slot 77 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Nadame Tucker at pick 116 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A straight-up fair deal on Beau Stephens at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Zane Durant reach the 195th overall pick and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Dallen Bentley in the 196th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Andre Fuller in the Round 7 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
