You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with Isaac Guerendo in the 223rd overall pick.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Getting Robinson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
