Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent pick 133 on Miles Frazier, a name most had 76 spots down the list. No fireworks, but a solid B.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Warren steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Spending an early pick on safety with quarterback, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy bit of business in pick 64, where Xavier Watts graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They will replay Tyler Warren at the 68th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Of all the spots to shop, they chose safety. Andrew Mukuba in pick No. 96 leaves quarterback, running back and other spots for later.
Miles Frazier at No. 133 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Caden Prieskorn at slot 255 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
