The rest of the league had time to spare on Dylan Morris; the Cardinals did not wait, grabbing him 363 spots ahead at No. 47. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Carter.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick-by-Pick
A swing that ignored the value entirely, PJ Williams well ahead of where he belonged. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Dylan Morris at the 47th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They reached into another round for Giles Jackson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Barrett Carter at pick No. 114 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
