You can hear the double-takes from here. The Chiefs took Jason Henderson at No. 160, roughly 50 spots before his name belonged. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.
The Hill pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end, quarterback and other spots. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.

In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner, though the board says they badly overpaid. Need was not the driver here.
They reached into another round for T.J. Sanders, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
