The Dolphins went off the board in a big way for Isaiah Major, 131 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Getting Verse where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
The trade work was a quiet net positive. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jared Verse in Round 1, Pick 21. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Cooper Beebe at slot 73 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
They reached into another round for Matt Goncalves, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jarrian Jones at No. 157. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Joe Milton III in the Round 6 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A tidy little value on Kendall Milton in pick 197, a step better than break-even. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They talked themselves into Isaiah Major at Round 7, Pick 21, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
