The Cardinals torched the value chart for Aeneas Peebles, taking him 58 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
The McCord pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. It is not that Fitzgerald is a bad player; it is that the Cardinals had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
