You build a draft on nights like this. Marcus Mbow had no business being available in Round 3, Pick 14, and the Cardinals did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
The Simon pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tyleik Williams at No. 47. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Somehow Marcus Mbow was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 14, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Cody Simon at pick No. 114 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Rylie Mills slipping to the Round 5 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
