The rest of the league will want that one back. Chase Bisontis tumbling to the Texans in the 106th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Reid reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 28 they get a go-to option on the outside, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Dillon Thieneman in pick No. 38. A minor itch, scratched.
Emmanuel Pregnon at Round 2, Pick 27 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Anthony Hill Jr. in slot 69 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Somehow Chase Bisontis was still sitting there in the Round 4 slot, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They took Zane Durant at par in the 167th pick, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Desmond Reid at pick 243 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
