The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: KeAndre Lambert-Smith, the 243rd overall pick, roughly 55 picks past where he belonged.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a downhill hitter at safety. More want than need.
No edge and no loss on Alfred Collins in pick 58; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Donovan Jackson slipping to the 91st pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cam Skattebo at the 117th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
