The Texans spent real capital to be 104 picks early on Korey Foreman, and the board is going to hold them to it. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
The Henderson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; Dylan Fairchild went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Barrett Carter slid further than he should have, and pick No. 89 is lovely value for the linebacker. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Lathan Ransom in the Round 4 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
TreVeyon Henderson at the 152nd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Taking Jake Majors in pick 165 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It fills a real need, too.
They barely believed it either: Jay Higgins still on the board at the 191st pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
They reached into another round for Korey Foreman, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
