The war room fell hard for Alex Mastromanno, and it showed at slot 153: 63 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
That Walker pick is the receipt they will wave around later. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In pick 16 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Jalon Walker at Round 2, Pick 15 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Aeneas Peebles in pick No. 78, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Savion Williams at the Round 4 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They reached a country mile for Alex Mastromanno at No. 153, and the board is aghast. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
