The war room fell hard for Ephesians Prysock, and it showed at slot 141: 51 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Lew pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 28 they get a load in the middle. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Anthony Hill Jr. in the 38th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Keylan Rutledge in the Round 2 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Fair-plus on Zachariah Branch, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Somehow Connor Lew was still sitting there in slot 106, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Ephesians Prysock in pick 141 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board had Zxavian Harris higher than pick 167, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Andre Fuller at the 243rd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
