When the story of this class is written, it opens with C.J. Hanson at slot 241, a reach of 22 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Laumea falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st overall pick they get a load in the middle at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Xavier Worthy in the Round 2 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Value with a capital V on Sataoa Laumea in slot 126, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nothing to complain about; Kitan Oladapo went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Ty'Ron Hopper at Round 6, Pick 9 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach for Zion Tupuola-Fetui in pick No. 198; a little patience would have been rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They reached a country mile for C.J. Hanson at the 241st overall pick, and the board is aghast. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
