After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Cardinals committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The Daniels steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Alexander has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future. The biggest hole, addressed.
Bear Alexander at pick 39 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Fernando Carmona in pick No. 70 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Shavon Revel Jr. in No. 106 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Jalon Daniels at slot 142 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
