Chicago Bears

Good, not great, for the Bears: B-.

The one they had to fix is still broken. The Bears left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Colton Hood · CB · rank 24
In the 25th overall pick they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Caleb Tiernan · OT · rank 57
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Caleb Tiernan. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · Jake Slaughter · C · rank 58
Jake Slaughter at Round 2, Pick 28 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Ted Hurst · WR · rank 88
They took Ted Hurst at par in pick No. 89, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
