You can draft well and still miss the point. The Bills did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to linebacker, which was the need that mattered most. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.

In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Sam Hecht at the 91st pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
