The one they had to fix is still broken. The Chargers left wide receiver untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They will need Woods to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
Peter Woods at the 22nd overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They took Chase Bisontis at par in the 55th pick, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
No drama and no debate, Keyron Crawford went about where he belonged in pick No. 86. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
