There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Chiefs never got to the one that mattered most.

Job largely done: tight end settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. The back end got a real overhaul.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
