The war room fell hard for Kingsley Eguakun, and it showed at the Round 6 slot: 23 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. However the rest shakes out, Worthy at that price is a win they earned.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner. Need was not the driver here.
The board had Xavier Worthy higher than pick No. 53, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They took Austin Booker at par in No. 158, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on AJ Barner. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Kingsley Eguakun at pick 199 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
