The rest of the league will want that one back. TreVeyon Henderson tumbling to the Vikings in the 140th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Burke lower, and that gap is the story.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Walter Nolen in slot 38, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They went early on Denzel Burke in the 77th pick, and the value did not follow. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They robbed the room for Tate Ratledge here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board fumbled TreVeyon Henderson all the way to pick No. 140, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jonah Monheim in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Chris Paul Jr. in No. 161 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
