This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Harold Fannin Jr., the No. 35 name on the board, stolen at the 78th pick. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

If Scourton pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.16 · Pick 16 · Nic Scourton · DL-EDGE · rank 41
In pick No. 16 they get juice off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Josh Conerly Jr. · OT · rank 45
Josh Conerly Jr. in the 47th pick is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R3.14 · Pick 78 · Harold Fannin Jr. · TE · rank 35
Harold Fannin Jr. in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
R4.13 · Pick 114 · Malachi Moore · S · rank 72
They robbed the room for Malachi Moore here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R5.14 · Pick 151 · Domani Jackson · CB · rank 129
The board fumbled Domani Jackson all the way to pick 151, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
