Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Evan Anderson. He came off 67 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
Bo Nix gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The Gould steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Kingsley Suamataia at pick 56, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Audric Estime at slot 87 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board fumbled Anthony Gould all the way to Round 5, Pick 38, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Evan Anderson. It fills a real need, too.
The board had JD Bertrand higher than No. 233, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Michael Barrett in No. 244 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
