Miami Dolphins

Larceny in the 241st pick lands the Dolphins a B, Flournoy and all.

You build a draft on nights like this. Ryan Flournoy had no business being available in the Round 7 slot, and the Dolphins did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.21 · Pick 21 · Joe Alt · OT · rank 4
In the 21st overall pick they get a building block for the line, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.24 · Pick 56 · T'Vondre Sweat · DT · rank 45
Quietly one of the better values of the day, T'Vondre Sweat at the 56th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.22 · Pick 158 · Beau Brade · S · rank 134
They robbed the room for Beau Brade here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R5.38 · Pick 174 · Trevor Keegan · OG · rank 144
They barely believed it either: Trevor Keegan still on the board at No. 174. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R6.9 · Pick 184 · Dallin Holker · TE · rank 150
You do not let a tight end like Dallin Holker reach the Round 6 slot and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.23 · Pick 198 · Fabien Lovett · DL · rank 183
Fabien Lovett slipping to pick 198 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.21 · Pick 241 · Ryan Flournoy · WR · rank 204
Circle this one: Ryan Flournoy at slot 241 is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
