The Caden Curry selection is the head-turner. The Seahawks reached 68 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A mixed bag that lands at C+.
The Slaughter pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.

They talked themselves into Caden Curry at pick 64, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Jake Slaughter reach the 96th pick and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They jumped the gun on Pat Coogan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
