The Eagles' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They banked enough surplus on Haulcy to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Fa'amoe pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. Quantity was the play, for better or worse.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 27 they get a mismatch in the passing game, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Caleb Banks at pick 54 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board fumbled A.J. Haulcy all the way to the 68th overall pick, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board had Keylan Rutledge higher than pick No. 89, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A need, and now a little less of one.
Steal is underselling it; Davison Igbinosun at Round 3, Pick 34 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A tidy bit of business in slot 114, where Ja'Kobi Lane graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brian Parker II at Round 4, Pick 26. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tim Keenan III at the 165th overall pick is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Travis Burke at No. 178 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe at slot 241 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
