The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Tez Johnson, slot 150, roughly 50 picks past where he belonged.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Cook has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th pick they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In slot 24 they get a wrecking ball inside at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Omarion Hampton in the Round 2 slot. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

Willie Lampkin in the 190th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A wild overpay on Brady Cook in the Round 7 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
