The Titans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jake Slaughter fell into slot 73. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Moss has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.8 · Pick 8 · Jeremiyah Love · RB · rank 2
In slot 8 they get an every-down engine for the run game. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.3 · Pick 35 · Joshua Josephs · DE-EDGE · rank 44
A premium they did not need to pay, Joshua Josephs a notch or two before his time. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R3.2 · Pick 66 · Antonio Williams · WR · rank 64
By-the-book stuff, Antonio Williams at No. 66 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.9 · Pick 73 · Jake Slaughter · C · rank 55
Jake Slaughter in Round 3, Pick 9 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.1 · Pick 101 · Malik Muhammad · CB · rank 99
They took Malik Muhammad at par in pick No. 101, which is nothing to complain about. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R5.2 · Pick 142 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 132
A slide stopped in the 142nd overall pick, with Harold Perkins Jr. worth more than the price. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.4 · Pick 144 · J.C. Davis · OT · rank 138
A clean, defensible pick in pick 144 with a little surplus value in J.C. Davis. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R6.3 · Pick 184 · Jeff Caldwell · WR · rank 186
Jeff Caldwell in the 184th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
R6.5 · Pick 186 · Le'Veon Moss · RB · rank 203
Le'Veon Moss at pick No. 186 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R6.13 · Pick 194 · Aaron Graves · DT · rank 199
They paid sticker price for Aaron Graves in the 194th pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.9 · Pick 225 · Miles Kitselman · TE · rank 218
Nothing to complain about; Miles Kitselman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
