There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Titans started one anyway for Nadame Tucker, 34 picks ahead of schedule.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Perkins Jr..
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 4 they get a featured back. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Good price on Chris Brazzell II in No. 35, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jake Slaughter at the 66th overall pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A conviction pick on Jalen Farmer at slot 101 that the board grades a round light. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Nadame Tucker. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
The board had Harold Perkins Jr. higher than the 144th pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Dae'Quan Wright in Round 6, Pick 3 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Keagen Trost in pick No. 194. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Diego Pavia at pick 225 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
