Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Titans spent pick No. 144 on Trey Moore, a name the board had a full 36 spots lower. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Stowers value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Sonny Styles in the Round 1 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Joshua Josephs at the 38th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Chris Bell at pick No. 47 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The roster fit checks out.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Eli Stowers at Round 3, Pick 2 is the proof. It fills a real need, too.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Mike Washington Jr. in No. 78. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Value said wait; Gracen Halton in slot 101 says they were not listening. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Parker Brailsford is a better player than Round 5, Pick 2 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Trey Moore at the Round 5 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid sticker price for DJ Campbell in pick 184, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No edge and no loss on VJ Payne in the 194th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Eli Heidenreich at No. 225 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A need, and now a little less of one.
