You could see the war room lean forward. Kamal Hadden at Round 5, Pick 36 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Reaching for Flax left real value on the table behind him. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
The board had Kingsley Suamataia higher than No. 64, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Tyler Davis in Round 3, Pick 32 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No edge and no loss on Cedric Gray in the 133rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaylen Wright at pick 158, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They robbed the room for Kamal Hadden here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
