The Colts went off the board in a big way for Adam Randall, 67 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
Landing Miller that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.

Sonny Styles at the 35th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A.J. Haulcy at slot 57 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They jumped the gun on Bryce Lance, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Christen Miller in the 89th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Beau Stephens in pick 152 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Matt Gulbin well ahead of where he belonged. The roster fit checks out.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Adam Randall in pick 207, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A big swing on Isaiah Jatta at pick No. 214, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
