The Colts spent real capital to be 34 picks early on Jordan White, and the board is going to hold them to it.
On value alone, Lance makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
They let CJ Allen come to them and pounced at Round 2, Pick 15. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jake Golday in pick 78 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A need, and now a little less of one.
Taking Bryce Lance in the 113th pick is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jaeden Roberts in pick No. 156 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
A quiet steal in the 214th overall pick: Aaron Graves for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Trey Zuhn III at No. 249 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jordan White at pick 254 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
