It is the swing that defines the weekend: J.J. McCarthy in pick 11, a good 32 spots before the room expected him. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

The Proctor pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Adding Budda Baker by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
