Thirty-one other rooms let Myles Harden slide, and the Cowboys were the ones holding the card at pick No. 233. Highway robbery. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The Rogers pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Zach Frazier at pick No. 56 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
By-the-book stuff, Brenden Rice at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Braelon Allen at slot 114 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Justin Rogers at No. 174 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A wild overpay on Trevin Wallace in Round 6, Pick 41, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Myles Harden in the 233rd pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 244th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
