Nobody had Barryn Sorrell this high, and it is not close. The Cardinals reached 174 spots to get him at No. 153. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
However the rest shakes out, Henderson at that price is a win they earned. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 17 they get a wrecking ball inside. A clean fit for the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Marcus Mbow at slot 47, value and slot in agreement. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Somehow Jihaad Campbell was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 14, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Xavier Watts in the 81st overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaylin Noel in pick No. 114. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson in the 118th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Barryn Sorrell this early at the 153rd overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
