New England Patriots
Maye is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a B+.

The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th pick they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Jordan Morgan at the 34th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
No drama and no debate, Ja'Lynn Polk went about where he belonged in pick No. 68. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A slide stopped in No. 102, with Cam Hart worth more than the price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Ainias Smith in the Round 4 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A clean, defensible pick in pick 179 with a little surplus value in Layden Robinson. A need, and now a little less of one.
A straight-up fair deal on Trevin Wallace at Round 7, Pick 11, value and slot in agreement. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
