In the 24th pick they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Aireontae Ersery went about where he belonged in the 44th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Dylan Sampson is a better player than pick No. 76 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Hollin Pierce at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Nick Nash at slot 170 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Lander Barton in pick 172 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Mello Dotson in No. 174 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Value with a capital V on Quincy Riley in Round 6, Pick 12, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Steal is underselling it; Damien Martinez at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They will replay Ja'Corey Brooks at the 249th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
