After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Bo Nix is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. On value alone, Rouse makes the weekend a net positive.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 21 they get the face of the franchise, reach and all. A real need, handled.
In pick 30 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Adisa Isaac at the 55th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Kamren Kinchens at slot 70 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Braelon Allen in the 107th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Value with a capital V on Walter Rouse in Round 6, Pick 8, a genuine coup. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
