They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.
Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The phones were where this weekend was really won. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels at the 17th pick is money in the bank, a quarterback taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jordan Morgan at pick 34 is the proof. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
