They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Beaux Limmer, 39 picks early at No. 87.
They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Greenfield that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan Morgan at Round 2, Pick 2, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Edgerrin Cooper in No. 56. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Beaux Limmer this early at pick No. 87. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Braelon Allen in the 103rd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They paid sticker price for Khristian Boyd in the 174th overall pick, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jordan Magee at the Round 6 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Garret Greenfield at slot 233 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They took Bub Means at par in pick 244, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
