Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Patriots, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Warren value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Derrick Harmon at the 30th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Tyler Warren at the Round 2 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Aireontae Ersery at pick No. 56 is the proof. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They read the board right and Marcus Mbow was the payoff at pick 62. The roster fit checks out.
Cameron Williams in No. 69 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Omarr Norman-Lott in slot 77. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
