The rest of the league had time to spare on Kingsley Eguakun; the Dolphins did not wait, grabbing him 85 spots ahead at the Round 6 slot. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Proctor. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Value with a capital V on Troy Fautanu in pick No. 34, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Christian Mahogany in slot 55 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A real head-scratcher, Zak Zinter in pick 65 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They read the board right and Khyree Jackson was the payoff at Round 3, Pick 37. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dominick Puni in the 102nd overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Layden Robinson at No. 136 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A need, and now a little less of one.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Tanor Bortolini this early at pick No. 157. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
