The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Packers reached some 47 spots for Joe Milton III, and value like that does not grow back.
They banked enough surplus on Rouse to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Wallace pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end still on the board.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
