The real work happened on the phones. The Rams fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Spears-Jennings pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
They banked enough surplus on Stukes to cover a lot of smaller sins.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
