The phones were a trap the Commanders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They are betting Rice proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.

In pick 1 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Brenden Rice well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
