Call it larceny. Nehemiah Pritchett sat on the board until pick 198, and the Dolphins did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Every board in the league had Anderson lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
The A.J. Cann deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; Xavier Legette went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No drama and no debate, Kingsley Suamataia went about where he belonged in pick No. 55. A need, and now a little less of one.
They did well to land Marshawn Kneeland in Round 3, Pick 23, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They let Trevor Keegan come to them and pounced at the Round 5 slot. It fills a real need, too.
Sione Vaki at slot 184 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Nehemiah Pritchett in pick 198 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Edefuan Ulofoshio in the 241st pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Evan Anderson well ahead of where he belonged. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
