The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Antonio Williams fell into pick 113.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Hit on Arvell Reese and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 5 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker. More want than need.
No drama and no debate, Emmanuel Pregnon went about where he belonged in the 37th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jadarian Price at the 105th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Antonio Williams all the way to pick No. 113, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
DeMonte Capehart at Round 5, Pick 5 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
By-the-book stuff, Zane Durant at No. 186 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Domani Jackson slipping to slot 192 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
They let Aamil Wagner come to them and pounced at the Round 6 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
