Somebody took the Cowboys to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

They have staked the next five years on J.J. McCarthy, which is the only story that really matters here. Guerendo has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

That Greenfield pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

There is no spinning it; the board won this weekend going away.
