The war room fell hard for Grey Zabel, and it showed at the Round 1 slot: 41 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

The Johnson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Cowboys indulged a want in Starks while a need in cornerback, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.
